Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

so you like inaccuracy

or coloration. How about a McIntosh C22 or C20 or Marantz 7C and McIntosh MC 30 or 60 pairs if you like "Grado" sound?

Interesting question that you pose. When I listen to my friend's simple Chinese entry level high end amps, they sound like SS clean clear amps. He's worked on tube rolling to try and change that to be "warm and liquid," etc.. He uses Vandersteen 2Ce Sigs to give you a perspective.

Do any of you guys own newer integrateds (tube or SS) which have this "Grado" like sound? I think sometimes in reviews the Plinius and Creek amps are described the way that Blue Sky wants. Or maybe the Cary amps, both SS and tubed.
