HF-90 (HFT-90) was the contemporary FM tuner
HF-92 was the AM-FM version
HF-94 was the AM only versionModels ending in "A" were electrically identical AFAIK, but very different cosmetically (brushed aluminum face plate, two-tone grey knows and (optinal) dark grey perforated, wraparound cover for the chassis.
BTW I'd love to have one of the EICO AM tuners... if anyone knows the source of a really cheap one, let me know :-)
all the best,
mrh
