Eico HF-81: Tape Out will bypass controls?

Hi,
is the Eico HF-81 acting as the HF-12 here?
I mean: if you use the Tape Out RCA's as your input connectors, for example by plugging your CDPlayer into them, do you bypass the preamp controls and only the power amp part of the HF-81 will be used?
Will ALL controls be bypassed (volume, tones...)?
