Thanks for the tips--I had already reviewed most of your website, but I was hoping to avoid the DIY route...However, given the cost of the commercially made products, I may be forced to give it a try. I am leaning toward the original "quick and dirty" method of using the Owens Corning rigid panels. Are you familiar with the mineral fiber panels sold by Auralex--are these rock wool?
Also, is there any reason why I couldn't make a side wall absorbing panel using several sheets of the Owens Corning and/or the Auralex mineral fiber panels? What if I were to use a low density panel for the outermost layer (mids and highs), and higher density panels for the other layers (bass)?
