Thanks very much for the explanation.
I recently installed a dedicated line (actually two, a BX and a Romex)
and the improvement was amazing. I used Hubbell hosp grade duplex outlets, a 20 on the BX for my integrated and a 15 on the Romex for front end, played around a bit comparing em. Call me crazy but the Romex sounded better..Based on my impression of just doing the dedicated line, I'd be very interested in installing an isolation transformer if it's possible for a non-electrician. Can you point me in the right direction?
btw, if you used a UPC on the front end and unplugged it from the wall so it would be on battery while listening to music, would that be a very clean power source? I figure most would last at least couple of hours if just powering the cd player..
