I was surprised to learn that things sold to the public still have significant beryllium content. Haven't I read somewhere in audio land, and more than once, that beryllium was a great material for making cantilevers but that the use was mandated out of existence because of the toxicity of beryllium. If wall outlets can be made of beryllium, why not cantilevers? Meantime, connoisseurs of vintage phono cartridges often avidly pursue old cartridges, just because they bear a beryllium cantilever.
