They look to be commercial products that have been silver plated at the fuse contact points and then cryo-treated, according to Acme. So, I assume the basic fuseholder that they start with is UL approved. Also, a fuseholder per se does not have to operate in the precise way that is needed for a fuse, that is to fail at the labeled failure point.
I get what you wrote above; if the boutique fuse sounds audibly better than the OEM fuse, why bother with the fuseholder? My response would be that in such a case, you may achieve further benefits by upgrading the fuseholder.
