I'm all for DIY racks. Yours sounds to be much more attractive than my cobbled thick plywood shelves/bricks/waste baskets. I have tried to incorporate mass (total weight with gear > 120 lbs?), but also isolation by using some inert material that doesn't transmit vibrations from the floor. Do you have any type of disruptive barrier between the rigid frame/shelves and the floor? All that beautiful, stiff oak is a perfect conduit once it gets vibrating.
The empty rack space is now filled by a Wyred 4 Sound STP preamp.
