RE: My newest tweak--stainless-steel damping blocks

Looks cool. Vibes are bad, and we should all take steps to mitigate their affect on fidelity at every location.

Is there a reason you elected to use expensive weights for damping rather than a sheet of adhesive material? A 0.5 sq ft piece of Soundcoat costs $6.50.

Do these affect thermal properties of the tubes? Do they reflect heat or absorb it? Paint 'em black?

What grade of SS? Are they attached in any way or just resting on the dots?

I notice three tubes do not have dampers on them. Any reason for that?

Peace,
Tom E
