The seller realizes that "audiophiles" are myopically focused on such parameters without the slightest knowledge of what it entails. Ebay sellers can claim anything they want to, and clueless part-swappers will snap them up because they're cheap and pretty. If the amps really are that fast, it could create serious performance problems, as you wisely observed.I don't believe there is any correlation between insanely high slew rates and audio quality. I'm not sure where the sweet spot is (there are various claims by engineers, usually in the single digits), but there is probably little or no sonic benefit with something as high as 120V/us. Actually, settling time, which is difficult to measure and specify, and depends somewhat on the circuit involved, might be more important for good sound.
