RE: Disturbing results after couling caps removal

I assume you checked / compensated for any DC offset out of the EQ after removing the caps?

After reading your previous posts, you probably did. Have you looked at the output with a scope with no signal input to ensure that nothing is oscillating? Only other suggestion is, if you have the equipment, to do frequency sweeps before and after - with the EQ loaded with some resistance to simulate the input impedance of whatever it's driving
