Thanks for the Input!... And...

Thanks Tweaker. That's just the kind of info I was looking for.

Good thought re: swapping out various caps where I now have the PIO's in the DAC. Easy to do and would provide more information. Also, I'll look for places in the signal paths where I might best use the Dale RN, Takman metal films or Vishay S102. The nakeds are a little pricey for me right now.

I have upgraded input resistors in my preamp to the big white Caddock TF's. Was also going to put the TFs in the feedback position and a couple interstage loading positions in my power amp. Any opinions as to whether the Dales, Takmans or Vishays be better than the Caddocks?

Is there a particular cap that could be used for bypassing that has a reputation for imaging/soundstage? I have three Vishay MKP 1837s bypass caps in each crossover now. This was based on the Humble Homemade HiFi caps reveiw page recommendation. I see he now recommends the Cornell Dubilier 940C as surpassing the Vishay "with quite some margin". Anyone have experience with this cap?

Are there particular positions in the amp/pre or DAC that would especially benefit from bypassing the electrolytics?

I have on hand a number of Silmic electros I am planning to put into the early stage cathode bypass positions in my amp and preamp. I have already upgraded the input and output caps in the preamp with Silmics and am pleased with the improvement.
