Can't rock part back and forth while heating solder of either lead.
More solder on each lead.
Snap-in leads and larger caps, as well as larger pads and PCB traces, absorb a lot of heat from the iron. Two-sided board is even worse because solder goes all the way through board, up pins and onto pad on other side.
Often they're glued down.
