Are Al's filters not just simple RC filters but in several stages? These could easily be tweaked for 220V applications.
Though an RC will be a pure differential mode filter. Based on the results so far it sounds like the noise the OP wishes to address may be common mode noise which the differential mode filters won't have any affect.
