I love my Metcals. I have 3, I think MX-1's. They are sweet, but there are jobs even they cannot do.
I work in power. Some of the boards use 6oz copper pours. They can be very (not) fun to try and rework in the absence of adequate thermal reliefs.
That 550W American Beauty might actually prevent a scrapped PCB in the rare situations where there are through hole pins soldered into a heavy weight copper pour and the board layout guy forgot the thermal reliefs.
There have been a few times I would have tried it.if I had one.
