Most binding posts include a mounting block or a couple plastic washers which have a small shoulder molded on one side around the holes. The enclosure holes are drilled oversize to accommodate the shoulder, which centers the posts and prevents them from contacting the enclosure walls. You still need to be a bit careful to center the posts when mounting them.
If you don't have the stepped washers or mounting block, drill the enclosure holes oversize and improvise whatever you can to keep them centered and isolated. If either post contacts the enclosure, you can destroy your amplifier.
