Ok, maybe I should change the Sonicaps Gen 1s to VCap CuTfs. They'll just fit....
Mods:
1) Signal path with 70 TX2575 .1% tolerance resistors, except loading resistors which are on order now that the cartridge has broken in.
2) FK and N Blackgates in and around the signal path where critical
3) Variable resistor to zero out DC. NO output coupling caps (bye, bye Axons)
4) Matched 2% Relcap RTE polystyrene & Sonicap Gen 1s in RIAA network
5) Shottky diodes in power supplyWonderfully transparent with very realistic tonal color compared to the stock unit. Needs a few minutes of settling time to get the DC offset down to < 1mV.
Thanks DIY Audio for some of the ideas!!!
