What a strange hobby. A fuse can clearly alter sound in a vacuum tube amp. Go figure.
I installed a Synergistic Research quantum Red fuse in my VAC Sigma 160i. The sound stage shrunk and the volume seemed diminished music became somewhat disorderly. Within 15 minutes it all changed, clearly better than before. The volume returned sound-stage expanded back to normal.
Now I now hear a delineation of instruments clarity and detail that was not there before. I don't have the words to describe this but I think it could be quieter allowing more clarity and separation? The other thing is music sounds more real and engaging. A great value for under $100.00
