Over at the Audio Karma website there is an extensive thread on the Minimus 7. One of the crossover mods is the PZ 2.1 M7 crossover mod and it's gotten pretty good reviews. A few years ago the farthest I'd gotten on my Minimus 7 "woodies" (later plastic tweeter faceplate) was installing 4.7uF Kimber Kaps and that was a big improvement over the stock electrolytic.
Another trick you might like, again posted on Audio Karma, is to stack two pairs of Minimus 7's. Top pair inverted. I've tried this with my Minimus 77's. Don't understand how it works, but it does. It sounds "bigger" than you'd think the four speakers would equal and the tweeters seem to suffer no ill effects from the placement.
