Oyaide WPC-Z Wall Plate

Some of you have wondered whether the Oyaide Wall Plate would work very well on non-Oyaide receplicles or whether they work period. I recently had an opportunuity to buy one at a decent price. I had zero expectation that it would do anything good or bad to the sound---but I was currious having read so many positive comments. I'm using dedicated 20amp. circuits 12/2 with ground, plastic boxes and plastic wall plates. The receplicles are Hubbell 8300 with non-ferrous metal.

I installed the Oyaide Wall Plate on the receplicle which was feeding my front end. These things are beefy. They are 5/8" thick aluminum and really solidify the plastic boxes in the wall. The recepticle fastens on the Wall Plate with 4 screws. It is very solid---no twist or movement of any kind. Then the carbon fiber cover fastens over the receplicle.

I was not prepared for the improvement or even why it worked. It is everything that you would expect from an improvement to your power line. Lower noise floor. Inner detail. Dynamic range. Dynamic contrast. I'm loven it!!

If anyone can explain why or how they work, I'd like to hear your thoughts.
