The caps all have a polypropylene dielectric. I got them from farnell, 2 EPCOS and 1 vishay, links as below:

I suppose the IEC connector isn't helping the shielding, but I guess the benefits of additional shielding would be minimal? However, I don't really know what the TI shield does, or it's properties...
I like what it does for the sound of my system. I think getting the resistance correct makes a huge difference. Different values change the sound balnce to my ears... I think Al's earlier description is about right -- too little = closed in, too much = tilt to HF. Having said that, I thought it made a positive difference in my system with the 120ohm resisters, before I'd done any tweaking. Overall it was a worthwhile experiment.
