Right now i am looking into one of these slitter/amps from PDI. I'm going to go with the 8-way, Ill be using 5 and would like a few extra for any future upgrades, ill just cap them off until i need them. Its got an active return path and only a small 4db amplification, it seems like exactly what I wanted. But i am still yet to find one of these "active splitters" that have no gain that they mentioned in that article about cable modems. So next order of business is choosing what cable to use? Im not to worried about the cable being very flexible all of the runs are pretty much straight without any bends or twists or anything, so i just want the best quality.
