I would replace them even if its just in a sub, opamp upgrades usually do alot for bass impact and dynamics, so i dont see why it wouldnt help in a sub. I believe the 4558 is just a standard dual opamp, and not a very good one at that. Get some brown dog adapters and sub in your favorite dual opamp, i like the AD827. Also adding decoupling right at the opamp is always a good move, also might want to put a small film cap across the +/- pins as well. Good luck
