Re: Rise time

My incomplete memory was of an article 24 years ago in AudioAmateur.I think one of the authors was Jung.I cannot remember how they came up with their numbers but I remember they recommended a minimum of .5V/µS per peak volt of output and a maximum of 2V/µS.The 28V/µS for 100W was figured using their minimum. If we use their maximum we would come up with a figure similar to the numbers your formula produces. All errors are mine.john curl pointed out that I confused rise time with period. For a 500Khz sine wave the voltage would have to rise to the 90* point in .5µS not the 2µS and therefore 2V/µS not .5V/µS would seem to be the minimum.Of course the sine would flatten into a triangle.I don't know where your formula came from but I like it.For 500Khz it reduces to peak voltage*pi so it seems like a magic number :)
