Yes, it damps it, and masks the effects of problems. This is well known. I'm not saying it's HARD to replace ferrofluid, just that I prefer not to have it at all and design in power handling at the system level. It's an extra variable.
Surely I'm entitled to my opinion here?
Bass is supposed to sound big. 6.5" is not a woofer size.
