I'm considering upgrading the binding post termination on my PSB Stratus Gold i's. The upgrade would be replacing the stock binding posts with WBT 730 binding posts and replacing the stock plastic back with WBT also. This way I can bypass the stock clips.
When I was looking at binding post connections, I noted that the stock wire seems pretty blah. Moreover, the crossover and all the voicecoils are terminated with those same chinchy clips I was trying to bypass with the WTB terminations. Here comes the question. Would I be better off: (1) replace the stock wire and resolider the connections; (2) simply resolider the connections and keep the stock wire; or (3) simply leave well enough alone. In my opinion, option #2 seems a bit unreasonable, as I would be already investing all the labor in changing the connections. Please correct me if I am overlooking something.
Thanks in advance for your help,
