T, I just read your comments on DS. Right on! Back in 1984, DS wrote an article in 'Wireless World' describing a preamp design. It was fairly primitive, but it was complete. A LTE later commended DS on his preamp, but one audiophile wondered what would happen if DS had used better caps and connectors. DS attacked this guy, big time, SE style. The guy, now a distant friend, is an engineering graduate, who worked in a hi fi shop in London, when not working for the power co, was shocked with the reply. I jumped to his defense, but 'Wireless World' thought that I was some sort of nut, and did not publish my letter. This started a long dialogue between DS and me for several years through 'Hi Fi News' and 'Wireless World' I finally gave up, as I was answering technical points, months after they were presented in the mags. DS thought that he had won the day. Oh well!
