I'm pretty interested in giving an unshielded version a try, and if I end up with some noise, it's simple enough to add a foil shield (facing the right way this time) without having to remove either connector. I know you like Chris VH's AirLock insulated wire...would you recommend the copper or silver for this application? Both are available in 24 gauge, which should be sufficient for the signal/ground wires.

I have some Neotech silver/gold wire, but it's 28 gauge and has regular PTFE insulation, plus I bought it for something else anyway...
