If we assume a 2" thick board, then with the 3/4" batting, it will perform like about 3 1/2" of straight fiberglass.One such board is really not enough to provide proper absoprtion for a first reflection panel, or for effective sound control when used behind a speaker, etc. Even placed in a corner, this kind of panel will not do much to absorb bass, although it will provide some relief from corner echos.
