If you are in doubt, it is probably safer to ask the manufacturer of
the equipment you want to put them on, is okay to do so or will it
damage something. Unless you are an EE and know what they did, you could
be causing something to be driven so hard it burns out. Whether it is
digital/analog or input/output, you got to know what you are doing
when you add a SHORT to the circuit.
