Ok I am a rookie in this area but love listening to music and especially watching movies. I just purchased my first HTS and want to know how I can get the best out of it for watcing movies. I am using a Yamaha HTR-5650 Amp with Fronts: AS-F1 Center: AS-C1 Rears: Sony 5 1/2 Book shelf and Sub: JBL PB-10. I connected everything using MOnster cables and Optical cables. I have my rears 6 1/2 feet high and positioned slightly behind the main viewing seat. The Center is ontop of my 50" TV and the mains are about 4 ft from the tv on either side. The sub is in the corner of the room just behind the RT front. I am using a DVD player with DTS and DD decoding. However I do not feel as if I am getting everything out. Does anyone know what I can do to make sure I am getting the most out of this. I belive I have a fairly good system for a starter. Any input would be great. I have purchased the gadget from Radio shack to measure th dbs. I have a THX DVD to help out also. Room size is 15' wide by 24' long. Tv is 16 ft from main viewing seat. I know I have alot of info and it is all over the place I apologize for that. Thanks for any help.
