A freebie would be finally getting around to pulling my speakers out into the room and properly positioning them (I needed to use a laser based level for this but I think the level cost me $10). Another cheapie was pulling interconnects off the floor and onto a PVC cable holder (based on a fellow A-goner's design). The best one (far and away) was the $400 I invested in a VPI HW 16.5 record cleaner. This is a must have.
