RE1 The OC panels can be ordered through any OC distributor, and the way to get them is to "piggy-back" an order along with the distrib's normal order, this way, you do not have to pay custom shipping and handling charges (if the distrib is reasonable).Go to OC's web page, and look up the nearest OC distribs for building supplies, they should be able to order the panels. You will have to buy a minimum of one full box of 2' by 4', but this is not too costly.
RE2 If you use enough contact cement to hold the fiberlgass, the panel will effectively be sealed. Not recommended. Also, the non faced fiberglass will proably peel away from the bottom layer that is stuck. Use the kraft backed fiberglass, and staple it to be sure it does not come down.
Odd shapes are very difficult to do right, and just plain difficult to build. The circular shape has many advantages, as the animal fencing is strongest this way. To do other shapes, you must use significantly more braces, and the compression of the fiberglass is never as uniform or as complete. Less efficient bass absorption.
As noted in the original DIY note, if you can find the panels of the proper density, they can be used as bass traps if sealed together properly. However, they do not work quite as well as the full version, and I do not believe as well as the SQ&D versions.
