Triangles are OK, just harder to build, and less sturdy than a cylinder. The thign about a cylinder, is it's inherent strength, and ease of construction. You wouldhavce to use rather thick dowels at each corner, and a middle brace made of wood too, if it were to be higher than 3 feet, then two middle braces would be in order.
Stretch the animal fencing very taught, and when applying the outer layer of animal fencing, be sure it is cinched tightly, and that there is no slack/slop around each corner. You need to acheive the same amount of compression,. and the flat sections will tend to collaps on the inside, and bulge on the outside, reducing overall compression. To counter this, you may need to reduce the spacing to the minimum recommended amount between the inner/outer wood end caps.
