Thanks for the info. BTW how did you calculate the floor ceiling resonance for my room (11ft ceilings)?
Using the formula on John Dunlavy's site I get fundemental resonances for the L,W,H in my room of 28.8, 44.3 & 51.5 Hz repectively.
I didn't get too technical over the exact resonant frequency of the pipes. On John's advice I decided make them ratiometric with my ceilings vs a standard 8ft one. Calculating this out came to 2.09m. Since the PVC pipe came in six metre lengths, I went for a 2m height.
With more wall height for reflections to bounce off, I suspect the diffraction properties of my tall lenses would be better than standard for my room.
