For the most part, proper room treatment requires a number of different acoustic strategies.
There is the Argwent Room Lens approach, where you place nothning but these long skinny tubes tubes in the room. Got a recipe at the web site for those. Also see the archive here for detials from those who have built them.
Then there is the sound absorbing approach, and this usually means, a pair of bass traps in the corners, a set of sied wall absorbers, and a diffusor on the rear wall, and maybe, on the fornt wall (instead of an absorber).
You normally wuld not want all diffusors, or all absorbers throughout the entire room.
