The bases of my present lenses were constructed as follows: Draw a template of the lens base on paper, ie, three 2 1/2 inch circles in line with the correct separation. Transfer this to a 4 by 10 inch piece of 3/4 inch plywood. Drill out the holes with a hole-saw (Skill makes an adjustable one). Jam the pvc tubing into the base with 2 thick nylon cable ties tight enough to keep the tubes from slipping out the bottom. 3 L-brackets would work as well. Attach 4 screws to the bottom for feet to hold the entire thing 1/2 inch off the floor. Make a smaller version of the base to hold the tubes in allignment at the top. -The whole thing looks sloppy, which is why I'm looking for a better base.-John
