Did you upgrade to the B&W 802D's from the 802's? The Classe Delta CA-2200 amp made the TAS 2006 Editor's Choice Awards (ECA) - current October issue. This might be a good match for your CP-700 though I've found the 802's require a great deal of power to be driven correctly. The Cary 306 was given a great review by RH in the TAS September issue but not included in the ECA's. I emailed RH and he replied "I completed my review after the Editor's Choice list was finalized, and it was an oversight that we didn't go back and amend the list to include the CD 306. It should have been on the list, and will be the next time we publish an Editors' Choice Awards issue." I've found the 306 to be a big improvement over my previous Audiomod Sony SCD-1. Good luck with your amp search.
