I do not recommend attempting to build a 1/4 round, or even a 1/2 round, as they are going to be dificult to construct properly, and get the full benefit of what is possible. This includs the sqaure and rectangular versions too. The round (cylindrical) type is doable as a DIY project, but not easy.
