After some acoustics testing, as well as an "A vs. B" comparison of the ASC prodcut vs. my original bass trap design (with the animal fencing, etc.), I determined that the DIY bass traps were every bit as effective as the retail products.I estimate that the Super Quick & Dirty version is at approx. 70-80% the performance of the original DIY bass traps, depending on how many rolls of fiberglass are used, etc.. Considering the huge price difference, it would take a very cramped quarters to require one to use the retail solution instead of the SQ&D versions.
