Hi John,When you say perf board, do you mean pegboard (holes) or masonite (no holes)? I assumed hardboard/masonite would have the same reflectance as plywood. I like the idea of 1/8" backing better all the time.
I have some of the 2" 703 coming so that's what I'll use. Looking at the room again tonight, and I need to make it as thin as possible for the side walls while retaining most of the effectiveness. The front wall I can go thicker and will do so.
Thanks for the info on the batting too? I was planning on using polyester bonded batting but it was a 1/4" low loft, but it comes in black which was a plus. I will stick with the white hi-loft polyester stuff. Glad you mentioned this.
