So here is my room.
Some measurements:
From point 1 to point 2 is 13 ft.
From point 1 to point 3 is 10 ft.
From point 1 to point 4 is 18 ft.Possible locations for the equipment is either location A or B.
Ceiling slopes upward to 15 ft. from fireplace to opposite wall.
Speakers are stand mounted.
Previously I've had the speakers in the corner (point 1). That produced a rather poor frequency response, at least by my measurements.
Any help is appreciated. Read my other comments for additional info.
