question about design

looking at the teresaudio room picture, I see a rather large diameter trap in the corner of the room. My room seems to have "bass overload" in the corners as well, and I figure that's why the biggest traps go there.

now, using this easier to build design with the big fiberglass sheets on the outside, could one enhance the performance by stuffing the inside of that large tube with loose fiberglass, similar to the idea of the "cheap and dirty bass traps" where you simply use a bag of insulation somewhere in the room, or is there something special about the hollow space inside the tubes that makes them more effective than a tube that has loose fiberglass throughout the core?

I'm definitely building something like this over the summer, but I am still digging for ideas before I takle this project.

Peter
