While I think that vibration control and some power line tweaking are important and produce big benefits, I suspect that room treatment is even more valuable. Unfortunately, it also seems as prone to producing arguments as the other two areas.But, as you point out, the gains in dynamics and the sense of space are staggering the first time you hear them. For me, they are also addictive. I would hate to have to move back to an untreated room, and people who have never heard music in a treated room have no idea of how much the room really affects what we hear.
it's also very nice how improvements in all of the 3 areas I've mentioned - room acoustics, vibration, and power - are additive and complement each other.
