The Gale recipe is costly as presented, with the cloth covering costing as much all by itself as ALL the materials to make one of my original DIY bass traps!
Yes, the Gale recipe will do some good things, but so will the SQ&D traps, and my original DIY bass traps will perform even better, either one at a much lower cost.
Also, don't use JUST bass traps, even if the adjustable (via rotation) midrange reflection is built into the traps. Wall panels and diffusors are also needed to really balance out a room.
