As already mentioned below, it could be where one of the leads that connects to driver is vibrating; I had the same problem when the hard resin surrounding this contact became cracked.What I suggest you should definately try first however - if this is possible (usually is) - is to turn the driver upside down and use like this for a while.
Sometimes larger drivers can start to rub against their surround because even their slight weight pulls them down to the bottom of the housing, and turning them through 180 degrees 'centres' the cone again.Best Regards,
