Barry,Thanks!
I was thinking of plywood too. Where did you get it cut into circles? Also, as far as I know, the pipe insulation comes in 3' lengths and I was thinking of putting two of them on top of each other to get the 6' tall columns. Should I just glue them together (liquid nails or something similar) or should I put an additional circle of plywood between them?
What kind of feet did you use and where did you get them?
Just noticed that you also have Maggies. I'm thinking of putting the traps against the wall behind the Maggies (about 2-3' feet behind them). Unfortunately, front corner placement is out as one corner has a door and one has a bookshelf. My theory is that that placement would a) diffuse the high frequencies instead of them reflecting straight at me from the wall, resulting in a more even frequency response and better ambience, and b) absorb the low frequencies, decreasing the cancellations/emphases due to the reflected backwave interfering with the frontwave. So it should help with two Maggie problems: brightness and dipole cancellations/emphases from the reflective front wall. Do you think that would work?

Sampsa
