The LT1028 actually gives a noise current curve with a max that is better than the AD797 single 1KHz spot noise value - the low 1/f noise slope is important given the RIAA eq boost of low frequenciesThe input bias current is lower as well
I use 2 op amp composite amplifiers to get the desired loop gain in fewer stages with high accuracy - see Graeme "Amplifier Applications of Op Amps" (compensation is non-trivial, I don't even try to power them up without the sensor connected)
good engineering should get you within 1-2 dB of the calculated noise absent circuit errors or unanticipated external influences such as EMI
