So I think we have it under control.Coolness.
Only two days (for the new speaker)? The number of times I've predicted only two days when working on a new project only to find it stretches out and out. Unless it is just a standard design in which case a couple of days might do. Do you test your designs with something like an LMS?
It's actually quite simple. Just a flat baffle with a driver mounted to it and some folding legs in the back to prop it up and set the angle of the baffle when in use. Not unlike an advertising sandwich board. I'm using a pair of 3.5" "full range" drivers I salvaged out of an old cheap pair of Radio Shack desktop speakers I was getting rid of a couple years ago.
This for me is just a quick and dirty first experiment with the open baffle concept in preparation for a more ambitious project I have in mind down the road.
Won't be using anything like LMS this time around. Just subjective listening. I used to have Liberty Audio's LAUD package but I never got 'round to using it and eventually sold it to a friend of mine a couple of years ago, which ironically was about the time I was ripping these drivers out of those old Radio Shack speakers.
Anyway, lunch break's over.
