I have two Yamaha amps( M-45 and M-80) from the 80s that I tried replacing some polarized Black Gates uses as coupling caps in the FB circuit with higher qual ones --i.e. non polarized from M. Percy. They were much worse and went to foil type caps which are better than either. Maybe they are OK in filter circuits but in my exper they are way overrated as sonic improv. Put your money in Panasonics or Nichicon Muses. I have used Cerafines too and the Muses seem as good in power supply circuits at reas cost. Max
